A friendly Irish family, based permanently in Lisbon, are searching for a nanny to join them in caring for their son, who recently turned 1 year old.

The little boy attends creche in Lisbon but a nanny is needed to support with his care around his creche hours and in the holidays/when he is off sick.

Start Date: ASAP

Working hours:  up to 50 hours per week, during term time this would likely be a 6 day work week but during school holidays 5 day work weeks can be expected. The creche holidays are approximately 2 months of every year. On creche days the hours can be offered as a split beginning at 6.30am - 10am then starting again from approximately 4.30pm - 7.30pm with one long day worked per week on a non-creche day. A usual 10 hour work day will be offered 5 days per week during creche holidays.

Duties: assisting with preparing the little one for the crèche, with the crèche runs, preparing snacks and healthy meals for him following the parents preferred weaning approach, settling the little one down for his naps, assisting with his daily care, devising fun activities for him to help him reach his developmental milestones and generally supporting his development and learning.

A nanny who is able to communicate in English is needed as the family speak English at home. A nanny with a driving license, who is happy to drive in Lisbon would be a plus.

Travel: the family have a holiday home around 1.5 hours from Lisbon with lots of facilities. The family plan to spend their summer there next year and have a separate double bedroom available there for the nanny’s use.

Accommodation: a separate guest room with en suite is available in the family’s flat in Lisbon. The family will also consider candidates looking for separate accommodation nearby. 

Salary: a competitive salary of €900+ net per week or around €3,800+ net per month is being offered dependent on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
